Yesterday was the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon at the girls' school. Reagan participated in memory of Ethan Powell. We were running a little late today so it was already in progress when we arrived. They had little cones set up all over the school and were running the kids in laps around the school. When we walked in, Reagan ran right past me and up to the center of activity. She spotted a girl in her class hesitating to get on her ride along so Reagan snatched it right out from her and hopped on and took off before I could even stop her. A kid came up from behind her and bashed her. Reagan responded by turning it into a demolition derby and laughing her head off as she bashed back, much to the dismay of the supervisors and many whistles going off. When it was time for her to stop their first round, she refused to get off her ride along and drove it right into the classroom instead. I'm not sure how they finally removed her from it, but I'm glad I left before that happened. You'd think something like that would be pretty easy. She's (almost) two and weighs 25 lbs, it's not even a fight. But that's 25 lbs of some mighty fury and spirit when she doesn't get her way.
I don't know the final total yet, but Reagan raised over $300 to help St. Jude, all in the memory of Ethan Powell. Thank you to April and Michelle for your very generous donations!

What a neat cause! The Ethan Powell story is so sad and heart breaking - it's great that you were able to honor his memory. On a side note, Gun-Gun has an inchworm toy like that and he freakin' loves it!
What a great thing her school did! And I love that Reagan is never afraid - that confidence will take her far!!
