The hunter has captured its prey

After weeks of careful stalking and hunting. The hunter has finally captured a rare and elusive beast.
Translation: We finally got a Wii y'all!

The hunt was tedious. The search for the beast was far and wide.
Translation: I spent hours on the phone calling stores every day and scouring the intenet.
.
But armed with the latest weaponry, we were able to narrow the beast into a corner.
Tranlation: Let me recommend wiialerts.com and Target's in-store inventory tracker on the Wii and the Wii Fit

Even then, the beast put up a fight. There were hours of perilous stalking.
Translation: I made Bill go stand in line at 7am at a Target that showed a Wii Fit in stock.

And while we finally captured the most rarest of beasts, we still didn't have our main Target.
Translation: We were actually able to get the Wii Fit and Mario Kart before we were able to get the console. Kinda useless that way but fun to look at and dream.

But in the end, the beast proved to be no match for our cunning skills
Translation: I finally called a Gamestop that was just taking a few off the truck and they said they would hold one for me until 5:00.

Now the hunter shall feast on it's capture. Tonight we eat and dance in front of the great fire!
Translation: Don't call me tonight. I'll be playing Wii.

OH, we got one the first week of June. I read another blog that said she had just gotten one at Target online. And I went there, but the wii fit was sold out. But...they had the wii sports pack. Score! Except ours is tucked away in the closet...only to come out on December 24th. Cannot wait!

Well...that is not exactly true. IT's in the box from Target in the middle of my bedroom floor. Kinda like hiding in plain sight. No one knows what is in it :-)

I am jealous I want the wii and the wii fit. I am putting it off until closer to the end of the year though given the hell heat here in Vegas, maybe I should rethink my position.

From someone who was waiting outside a Target on Sunday morning with a two year old in tow, I must say I'm a bit jealous. We have the Wii, the Mario Cart should arrive tomorrow...but I was 12th in line for the Wii fit and they onl had 4. I'm going to go sulk and play my Indiana Jones Lego game.

Wow... I'm shocked that the Wii is still so hard to find. The Wii Fit is REALLY intriguing (I think I want one), but I'm so not ready to have my house taken over by video games.

Can't wait to hear about how the actually playing turns out!

greg and I got one for Christmas this year from his mom and dad... so we were lucky enough to not have to do the searching... we also got guitar hero for wii... I must say it is addicting and loads of fun... but I am not very good... we have been looking for the wii fit for weeks now... unfortunately our walmart does not carry them and we live an hour and a half from the nearest target... sad day! but enjoy yours!

I didn't realize how lucky I was- I went and got a Wii Fit the day it came out (and a Wii at the same time). Then I started seeing them on Ebay, and seriously considered handing it over! But it is seriuosly too much fun. And tennis- who knew I was so good at tennis!

I keep hearing about Mario Kart- you'll have to tell us if it's as fun as it sounds!

LOL!! Glad you finally got a Wii!! We were looking for one from Thanksgiving 2007 until just before Valentine's Day of this year when we were FINALLY lucky enough to get one. Now you go into any store, and they have at least a dozen just sitting there.

We have quite a few games already too. I just love it! It's so much fun! My favorite is Mario Kart, even though I haven't played in like, almost a month, and my DH loves Guitar Hero. So does Zoey!

Anyhoo, glad you were able to get a Wii, and I hope you have lots of fun playing!

Woohoo on the Wii! I want one too but we have way too many video systems in this house already. My hubby needs help with his video game addiction. But if I said "yes" we would get a wii in a heartbeat. I'm very interested in the wii fit so keep us updated and let us know how ur doing with it.
