We Bought What?

Let me share with you what can happen when you let a two-year old walk with you in a Target instead of putting her in the buggy. Here is a picture of some of the things we purchased earlier this week.

The punchline is neither Bill nor I actually knowingly bought any of these products. Bill usually handles the credit card transaction while I unload the buggy. This time it was the other way around. Bill tossed everything in the cart up on the belt, assuming I had a perfectly good reason why I wanted two types of acne medicine (neither of us have acne), a black eyeliner (I use brown), and my favorite--makeup for women of color. Let's face it, even on my tannest day, I can't use makeup intended for black women.

I caught Reagan putting in one of the Noxemas at one point and pulled it back out of the cart. She protested and said, "but Mom, you NEED it." Gee thanks for that. I pulled it back out, but the sneaky little bugger put it back in again when neither of us was looking.

Unfortunately, the receipt is tossed and since Target's return policy sucks, we now have a few items we can donate to the local women's shelter.

Oh, and this is also exactly how I ended up with six boxes of Weight Watchers Calzones on Saturday.

Some recent random pics, just because...

I agree, when did Bailey get so big?! They are both just so beautiful! I swear, all of you May 2006 mamas who have two girls sure do make the most beautiful girls! I hope this baby is just as cute!

Zoey has thrown some stuff in the cart before, but it's usually cheap stuff like socks or hair pretties!

And yeah, Target's return policy sucks ass. I hate buying stuff from there, but it's my favorite store! We ALWAYS get a gift reciept, even if it's just for diapers.

I love Reagan's cheese face in the second to last picture. We have a lot of that going on.

Target can look up your stuff if you bring in your credit card and tell them you lost your receipt. Let me tell you how I learned that lesson :)

Ok, that was nice! Truly laughed out loud and so did my dh when I told him. So funny! And holy cow the girls are so big and cute! When did Bailey grow up indeed? She was just born....right? :o)

LOL! I haven't been brave enough to let Michael loose in Target yet. We have enough dinosaurs already.

Is it just me, or does Reagan look a little too enthusiastic about having her arm around Bailey's neck?

Oh!! Please do a post on Bailey growing over the past several months!! It's like she went *poof* and now she's all grown up (well sorta)!!

Awww, what cuties! I love the ponytails. You've got such darling.

Oh, and if you go to the SAME Target you bought from and have your credit card, they can look up your receipt so you can still return the items. I wouldn't know anything about that, of course....

Cute pictures! How do they learn these things so early?

Target can do returns based on your CC info- I think you just have to bring the items and the card you used and they can find your receipt for you!

Your girls are so cute together! I completely see how the extra items could be purchased. I spend all of my time following Michael making sure he puts everything back and always forget something!

Ok, I thought I had found treasures when I got home from the store, but I must say I have never come across items like these. I love that she insisted that you must have the acne treatment, even though you do not have acne. LOL. Also, Bridget, I know that you must be thrilled with the makeup for women of color. It will look beautiful on you once you get a really good tan going. Ha ha ha. Got to love those little helpers while you shop.

That's almost as good as the time J SHOPLIFTED at the grocery store. We were halfway home when I heard munching, turned around and saw him eating from a bag of M & M's that I definitely didn't pay for and that me and the cashier somehow didn't notice him holding. oops.
